IT support across the East Kootenays

Cranbrook and the East Kootenays, with someone local and the same helpdesk everyone else gets.

The East Kootenays are eight hundred kilometres from our head office, which is exactly why how it works matters more than where we are. We have a technician who lives here, with a regular subcontractor as backup, and everything else runs the way it does at home: almost all support is remote, failed hardware is couriered into our own service centre and comes back fixed, and manufacturer warranty work is arranged on site. Being far away changes the logistics, not the service.

We have a local employee in the East Kootenays with a regular subcontractor as backup, and the same courier, end-of-life and warranty paths we use in the Lower Mainland.

Coverage

Remote support is immediate and handles almost everything. A local technician covers work that genuinely needs hands, hardware is couriered into our service centre for bench repair, and manufacturer warranty service is arranged on site.

Questions

Do you actually have anyone in Cranbrook?

Yes. A local employee, with a regular subcontractor as backup for when they are booked or away.

Is the service worse this far from head office?

It is the same mix we use everywhere. What changes at this distance is logistics, not the service, and the device travels rather than a technician.
